Flower essences are a powerful natural tool that can assist you with mind-body health, can aid you in processing emotional issues and patterns and can support your spiritual/soul development.
What Are Flower Essences? Flower essences were first made by Dr. Bach, a medical doctor in England in the 1930s. Flower essences are plant-based remedies that unlike herbs and essential oils, essences have no fragrance and no taste. Flower essences offer vibrational healing to the body through the power of the flower(s). They offer a profound effect upon emotional well-being and psycho/spiritual development. Flower essences are the infusion of flowers in water that are then stabilized and preserved in a solution of brandy and water. Once the flower essence is stabilized with brandy and subsequently diluted, only minute traces of the chemical components from the original flowers remain, making the essences completely safe to use. Essences can be preserved in a non-alcoholic component; however, the essence will not last as long. Flower essences are similar to homeopathy in that your body will only accept what it needs of the essences and will expel what is not needed. The Healing Power of Flower Essences:
Flower Essence Therapy can provide a wonderful support to you as you move through life’s transitions. Flower Essences work on a vibrational level and can help you deal with everyday concerns. They can also help you address emotional issues that may be blocking your ability to move forward and achieve success and balance in your life. Essences do not effect the biochemistry of the body, rather their impact is through the subtle energy fields of the body. Flower essences are used to offer gentle support for moving through emotional issues, psychological blocks and at times even physical challenges. True healing and mental harmony are possible for you with Flower Essences. How Flower Essences Are Prepared: In preparing essences, flowers are not harvested. Generally, only a few wild flowers are used to make an infusion. Flower essences come in 1 ounce dropper bottles and are usually taken orally a few drops at a time. The dosage is determined specifically for each person depending on their individual needs. As your flower essence practitioner, I will work with you to select a variety of different essences suited to your particular needs. The variety of essences are mixed into a single remedy bottle. In addition to being taken orally, flower essence drops can be put on the skin or used in the bath. They can also be used in spray form and/or mixed with essential oils. Flower Essence Therapy sessions are usually 1 to 1 ½ hours and can be a separate treatment or in combination with other modalities offered including traditional psychotherapy, reiki, polarity and massage. A treatment protocol is usually 3-4 sessions aver a 3-4 month period.
